How we handle your information

Your trust matters to us. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you visit karlasaltos.com or reach out through it — and what we do (and don't do) with that information.

Who "we" means

"We" refers to Karla Saltos, a licensed real estate salesperson with Douglas Elliman Real Estate, operating the website karlasaltos.com and related forms. If you have a privacy question, the contact information is at the bottom of this page.

What we collect when you visit the site

Like most websites, karlasaltos.com uses analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Specifically, with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, which may collect:

• The pages you visit and how long you spend on them
• Your approximate location (country, region — not your specific address)
• The type of device, browser, and operating system you're using
• How you arrived at the site (search engine, direct link, social media, etc.)
• Anonymous identifiers stored in cookies on your device

We do not use this data to identify you personally, sell it to advertisers, or build a profile about you. We use it only to understand site performance.

When you first visit, you'll see a banner asking whether you'd like to accept or reject analytics cookies. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set, and we don't track your visit. You can change your choice anytime by clearing your browser's cookies for this site and reloading.

What we collect when you contact us

If you fill out a buyer or seller intake form, send an email, schedule a Cafecito call, or otherwise reach out, you may share:

• Your name, email, and phone number
• Information about your real estate goals — neighborhoods, budget, timeline, etc.
• Anything else you choose to tell us in your message

We use this information solely to respond to you and help you with your real estate goals. We don't sell, trade, or share it with anyone outside of what's strictly necessary for those purposes (for example, sharing your offer details with a seller's agent during a transaction).

Third-party services we use

To run this site and respond to inquiries, we use a handful of third-party tools. Each has its own privacy policy, and any information you share with them is governed by their terms:

• Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website
• Google Analytics 4 — measures site traffic (only with your consent)
• Calendly — handles cafecito scheduling when you book a call
• Netlify and Formspree — process the buyer and seller intake forms
• Google Workspace — handles email correspondence
• Douglas Elliman — manages MLS searches and OneHome client portals on our behalf

Cookies, briefly

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. The only cookies this site sets are:

• A small one to remember your cookie banner choice (so we don't ask every time)
• Google Analytics cookies — but only if you've consented

Calendly may set its own cookies if you open the booking widget. Their privacy policy covers those.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can always:

• Ask what information we have about you
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask us to delete what we have
• Withdraw consent for analytics at any time (clear cookies and reload)

If you're a California resident, the CCPA gives you these rights formally. If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR does the same. To exercise any of these, just email us — there's no special form. Contact information is below.

Children

This site isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you're a parent or guardian who believes your child has shared information with us, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top. Significant changes (anything affecting how we collect or use your data) will also be noted briefly on the site itself for a reasonable period.
